GX470 Screen Lag

I installed the 10.4 inch PX6 (six-core), Android 9 with built-in CarPlay
Within the past few months there has been a significant lag when using the touchscreen. I'll be listening to spotify and hit the screen to advance the track to the next song, It will take about 30 seconds to actaully advance to the next song and the screen identifying the song won't advance to actual song being played for a significantly longer time. This also is the case when I try to go from Spotify to Maps,.
Anybody experience this issue and have a way to correct?
