I've tried all protocols one by one with no success. everything else works perfectly.

Hi, have tried/tested different cables (harness) which were attached to the panel.
In my case (10" for Prado 120) I had 3 different cables for AirConditioning.
Only one works with my installation and aircon works (without softkeys on the panel. Only hardware buttons +/- temperatur work).
The second area I would test, are versions of the software options in the menu you did.
